Community Service Project

Throughout my high school involvement with Future Business Leaders of America, we have always done a Community Service Project each year. In recent years we have partnered up with the local library and created a Community Extravaganza! I am so glad that I have been able to be a part of this because it's a blast! We coordinate choir, band, and music groups to perform throughout the day, local authors come to read books aloud, there are carnival games, and other activities. There is so much going on that it can get hectic at times, but everyone enjoys themselves and has a great time. One year there was even a pony ride! All of the money was donated to the Pima Public Library, and those who came were encouraged to donate gently used books and movies to the library. I love participating in this Community Service Project each year, and I'm looking forward to this year's! I love our community, the library, and FBLA, so it's especially fantastic that I can do something that incorporates all of those things! Can't wait to be a part of it again! :)
